CE mark obtained for the CT/MR M.A.C. Interstitial GYN Template for interstitial HDR brachytherapy

Seneffe, Belgium, September 26, 2017, Eckert & Ziegler BEBIG announces the launch of the CT/MR M.A.C. Interstitial GYN Template for CE markets. The approval for the product manufactured by the Eckert & Ziegler BEBIG company, Mick Radio-Nuclear Instruments, Inc. in Mount Vernon (NY), United States was received recently.

The CT/MR M.A.C. Interstitial GYN Template is a universal tool used for performing intracavitary and interstitial high dose rate brachytherapy of the vagina, cervix, endometrium and parametrium. Intrauterine tubes of different dimensions, as well as 36 concentric needle channels, allow for symmetric and asymmetric dose distributions, thus enabling patient-oriented treatments and high reproducibility. The CT/MR M.A.C. Interstitial GYN Template is available in channel diameters for 15.5G, 17G, 18G, 1.65 mm and 2.0 mm needles. Needles in the tube channels and the template holes are fixed individually, which facilitates and accelerates the workflow during needle insertion. The combination of lightweight and stable materials, such as titanium and PPSU, make this product very user friendly and suitable for MR imaging. "The CT/MR M.A.C.
